  • provide an effective way to engage with dads, father figures and their children,
  • are set up by and accountable to a Christian church or a Christian organisation,
  • are found throughout the UK and overseas.

The values that underpin Who Let The Dads Out? groups are that they:

  • are founded on the Christian principle of wanting to demonstrate God’s love to our community;
  • are targeted at dads, father figures and their children;
  • are open to all dads, father figures and their children within our community regardless of whether or not they are churchgoers;
  • provide a safe space for dads, father figures and their children to enjoy time together;
  • encourage dads, father figures and their children to take part in activities (play, craft, music, story) together;
  • provide hospitality and space for dads and father figures to talk about parenting and faith together;
  • are accountable to Christian churches and organisations that believe Jesus is both Lord and Saviour.

The parent and toddler world has traditionally been populated by mostly mothers and female carers; relatively few fathers have taken part. Who Let The Dads Out? seeks to change that culture by taking the usual parent and toddler format and specifically targeting it at dads, father figures and their children.

Who Let The Dads Out? groups are not exclusively parent and toddler groups. Who Let The Dads Out? seeks to keep the hearts of fathers and their children turned to one another, and it provides a number of ideas and resources to 'journey' with dads and their children in the context of whole families support and ministries strategy.

In our group at Deeside Church we try to create an environment where the children are happy and stimulated allowing the parents to relax and have a chat!
Activities include:

  • ?free play with toys and books
  • crafts
  • snack
  • song time
Costs are £2 per child and an additional £1 for siblings.
